The E-Commerce Specialist is
responsible for internet/web marketing activities that increase e-commerce
business. Exempt associates are expected to work as much of each workday as is
necessary to complete their job responsibilities.
Responsibilities #eCommerce_Job
1. A college degree is preferred,
along with at least one year of experience in either hotel marketing or revenue
management.
2. Fluency in the principal
language(s) spoken, written, and understood at work
3. The ability to read and write
to help with communication.
4. Organized and detail-oriented,
with the capacity to multitask in a hectic situation.
5. Possess strong writing and
vocal communication abilities.
6. Capable of creating and giving
persuasive presentations.
7. Take part in a team effort.
8. Ability to travel.
9. Provide facts and ideas in a
clear, well-organized manner.
10. Prioritize tasks effectively
while managing your time.
11. Fulfill requests for special
reports or projects.
12. Show up to all scheduled
meetings.
13. Have proficiency with
computers, including but not limited to Microsoft Word Excel & Outlook.
Job Responsibilities: #eCommerce_Job
1. Assists
in planning, coordinating, and/or managing hotel and/or marketing projects for
both internal and external audiences.
2. Serve
as a point of contact between contracted vendors/service providers, outside
agencies who provide sales and marketing support, and the hotel(s).
3.
Coordinates the entire project and keeps an eye on the price and progress of
all associated sales and marketing expense items.
4. Helps
hotels build and implement internal/external electronic communication systems.
5. Plans
updates and helps with oversight of hotel websites and listings on third-party
websites, including special promotions and accurate loading of hotel information
as well as competitive analyses, trends, and advice.
6.
Participates in task forces and committees as requested, completes special
projects, and performs other duties as assigned.
7. In
addition to carrying out the core duties, this position may also be needed to
carry out a combination of the following supported duties, with the supervisor
being the only one who may decide how much time should be spent on each task
depending on the specific needs of the business.
8. Assist
the head of e-commerce eCommerce managers and directors.
9. Assist
in organizing conference calls and business meetings that need travel.
10. Create
quarterly or monthly e-commerce reports
