Key Responsibilities:

• Farm Management: Oversee daily farm operations, ensuring the effective management of commercial layer chickens.
• Production Oversight: Monitor and optimize the growing process to ensure high-quality egg production, while maintaining the welfare of the birds.
• Team Leadership: Supervise and guide farm staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, health standards, and production goals.
• Farm Maintenance: Ensure all equipment and infrastructure are functioning efficiently, carrying out regular maintenance, and troubleshooting when necessary.
• Inventory Control: Manage feed and supply inventories, ensuring timely procurement and optimal usage.
• Quality Control: Implement and monitor quality assurance procedures to maintain high standards of egg production.
• Data Management: Maintain accurate records of production metrics, flock health, feed usage, and other farm activities. Provide reports to senior management.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure farm activities comply with local and international agriculture and animal welfare regulations.

Requirements:

• Experience: 3-5 years in farm management, preferably in poultry or layer farming. Experience in managing a commercial layer farm is a significant advantage.
• Skills: Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to handle farm operations, including managing a team, inventory, and production schedules.
• Knowledge: Good understanding of poultry health, biosecurity measures, and farming technologies.
• Education: Degree or diploma in Agricultural Science, Animal Husbandry, or related fields.
• Passion for Agriculture: A genuine interest in farming and sustainability practices.
• Communication: Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with farm teams and senior management.
